India is not a destination in my passport, it is my second home, and perhaps something more. I have been there dozens, if not hundreds of times. I have seen the rising sun paint the Ganges gold in Varanasi, monsoon rains turn the streets of Mumbai into rushing rivers, and the silence of the Thar desert, where you can hear your own heartbeat.

My story with India began in the years when there were no cheap airlines and every trip was the journey of a lifetime. I ended up in Pahar Ganj in New Delhi, a district of hippies, artists and drifters. That is where I first felt that travel does not have to end with looking at monuments. That you can blend into a city so deeply that you start breathing in its rhythm.

Today, leading Explorea expeditions, I show the India I know. Not the one from brochures, but the one people live in. Where every day can turn into an adventure and every corner leads to a new story. Because India taught me one thing: if you let it pull you into its world, you will never look at life the same way again.
